Full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's elegantly muscular and multidimensional, with terrific depth at the core, ample reserves of ripe, powdery tannins and a long, resonant finish. Seamless and integrated, it was blended in the summer of 2021 before returning to barrel to complete its élevage.

Neil Martin, Vinous, November 2021 - 96-98P:

The 2020 Clos de Tart Grand Cru contains around 55% whole bunch this year with 65% new oak. It has a very limpid hue in the glass. The bouquet takes time to open but my word, it is beautiful, extraordinarily pure with black cherries, crushed stone, hints of pressed violet all exquisitely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with a velvety smooth texture, fine acidity, the neatly integrated. Very sleek and sensual on the finish, this is a very sophisticated and somehow "complete" Clos de Tart. Around 13,000 bottles produced.

Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy, November 2022 - 96P - 4-Star:

Only fractionally richer in purple than La Forge but there is greater finesse in the ripe fruit of the bouquet. An explosion of dark plums up front, then this raft of tannins, reminiscent of 2009 but more so, before the fruit comes back. How long will we have to wait? The fruit does work very well afterwards, and there remains plenty of energy, so the wait will be worthwhile. Drink from 2035-2050.

Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy, September 2024 96P - 4-Star:

Rich mid purple. Immediately very oaky, sandalwood and vanilla. This gives way as the extremely intense fruit emerges, with plenty of white pepper indicating whole bunches. Racy, fine, powerful, long, still needing to find its feet, perhaps not yet showing the complexity of the first wine (Dujac Clos St-Denis). Drink from 2035-2050.
